Not all innovative companies start in a garage. They are often SMEs that have started small and have thought big, and have succeeded. In Europe in recent years there have been small and medium-sized innovative companies which have developed new ways to address and solve social technical and environmental problems through the application of biotechnology.
Consequently EuropaBio, the European Association for bioindustry, is organising the Biotech SME Awards, an award for the most innovative biotech companies in Europe. EuropaBio is therefore asking innovative SMEs operating in the biotech sector to take part in the 8th edition of its award: an annual initiative that recognises biotechnological innovation and its contribution to business growth in Europe. There are three categories to contest: health care, and both agricultural and industrial biotechnology. SMEs interested in participating in the prize have until 26th June 2017 to register on the initiative’s website.
Each winner will receive a cheque for € 10,000 plus two years free membership of EuropaBio. And for both winners and participants, the prize will also provide great visibility in the European biotechnology industry network EuropaBio.
