The Premi DesignEuropa event has been renewed. This is the EUIPO programme honouring excellence in design and management amongst owners of Registered Community designs (DMC). The Awards pay tribute to companies and designers who have brought a drawing or model of excellence to the marketplace with the support and mentoring of the DMC.
Design is the main driver of innovation and economic growth. Industries involving high design and modelling intensity generate 12 % of all jobs in the EU and nearly 13 % of its GDP. In addition, investments in design are profitable: companies that invest heavily in design realised, on average, 38% more income than firms that do not.
DESIGN EUROPA AWARD 2018 aims to raise awareness about the protection of designs in the EU and to promote design as a valuable intellectual property right that is the foundation of our economy and supports employment.
You have until 15 May 2018 to make a bid!
The competition is open to all people, enterprises or institutions who hold a valid DMC.
The finalists will be announced in October 2018 and the winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony of DesignEuropa Award, to be held on 27th November 2018 Warsaw (Poland).
