The second edition of Innovation Village is scheduled for 6th and 7th April, this is the innovation and technology transfer fair, conceived of and organized by Knowledge for Business (KforBusiness). This is a multi-sectoral event that aims to give visibility to companies, agencies, associations and manufacturers that develop and produce innovations. The event, which will take place in Hall 6 of the Overseas Exhibition Centre in Naples, is organised in the style of a village, with the goal of fostering open innovation processes between innovation producers (start-ups and research organisations) and potential users (companies and professionals).
Thanks to the partnership with the Enterprise Europe Network, the “B2Innovation” brokerage event is taking place during Innovation Village, focusing on the following areas: Industry 4.0 and digital production; cultural and creative industries; agribusiness; blue growth; Healthcare and Life Sciences industry. This is an important opportunity to put forward, discuss and develop innovative ideas in short sessions lasting thirty minutes; to identify new partners for technology development; to build quality partnerships with a view to future participation in European and national initiatives; to initiate contacts and international collaborations.
In particular on 6th April, two important health seminars are scheduled: “Open Innovation and 3D Printing, Opportunities in Health”, an event organised by Open BioMedical Initiative and Inail, and also “Technological innovation: preventative care and prosthetic rehabilitation”, an event organised by the Inail Regional Directorate.
The event is also planning a “Notice for innovators” which aims to discover and develop experiences of innovation which have started in Italy, and have already had some first demonstrable results. The selected innovators will be awarded the following, completely without charge: a customised exhibition stand at the event; participation in the Startup Session: Speed Pitching with investors, incubators, and companies; and the chance to programme direct Business to Business and Research to Business meetings, using the online platform accessed from the Innovation Village website. Non-residents of Campania will be eligible for a refund of travel and accommodation expenses for one representative. The key requirement is that they put forward concrete innovations, consistent with the themes of the event, which have already been trialled and can be adopted quickly. To participate you must fill out the form on the event website before 28th March 2017 at 18.00. You will be informed of the result of the selection process by 31st March 2017.
