The third edition of Seeds&Chips, the Global Food Innovation Summit, will take place in Milan from 8th to 11th May 2017 (Fiera Milano Rho), in conjunction with the Milan Food Week. The event will include the best international companies in food &AgTech sector, Universities, Institutions, investors, accelerators and incubators and hundreds of startups from around the world, from the USA to Israel, from France to Italy.
During the event we will talk about the global Food Revolution, addressing crucial issues such as: the impact of new generations on food consumption, technological innovation applied to the food chain, food security, the importance and value of sustainable food production even in large cities, new trends in the industry and the central nature of support for food innovation.
As part of Health and Nutrition we will discuss the latest news about: Precision Nutrition, super food, nutraceuticals, traceability, Precision cuisine, big data e smart kitchen.
In this year’s version of Seeds&Chips a lot of space will be given to the theme of Food production within cities: one of the international conferences will in fact be dedicated to “Feeding the Cities – Urban and Vertical farming” (how to grow in a green way in big cities) which will be attended by mayors of major world capitals. Many international celebrity guests are expected to attend Seeds&Chips 2017, from Sam Kass, chef-adviser to Barack Obama, creator of a health-conscious revolution in the White House, to Kerry Kennedy, President of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, and a fervent supporter of human and food rights.
Furthermore, until the 10th April, you can put forward your own ideas to the international competition initiative, “Innovative Ideas and Technologies for Agribusiness” aimed at identifying technologies and innovative ideas in the field of foodtech e agtech, which could improve the socio-economic conditions of developing countries. The initiative is promoted by UNIDO ITPO Italy, the Italian office for Technology Promotion and Investment of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, in partnership with the National Research Council (CNR) e Seeds & Chips, The Global Food Innovation Summit.
