The Bracco Foundation, the Giuseppina Mai Foundation and Bank Prossima, bank of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group dedicated to the Third Sector, along with the support of the municipality of Milan, incubator Speed MI Up, Federchimica and the Italian Foundation Accenture, are launching the second edition of the Start to be Circular award dedicated to startups engaged in a circular economy. The Competition aims to promote the transition to a circular economy and sustainable growth through innovative business initiatives aimed at young people and startuppers.
The Competition will award three startups with a prize of 10,000 euro gross, to be divided equally between the first two classified startups made available by Confindustria Giuseppina Mai Foundation for the establishment of the company or other ancillary services. For each of the three winning startups there will also be an award of an incubation course with Speed MI Up, the incubator for Bocconi University, from the Milan Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Milan.
Moreover Foundation Bracco and Bank Prossima have signed an agreement that provides for the establishment of a fund of guarantee made available by Bracco Foundation. This provision allows for the provision of funding, in the manner indicated in the notification, to the winning start-ups for a maximum total amount of 90,000 euro.
Entrepreneurs and startups that are already up and running, with community objectives in line with the values and objectives that the tender indicates and / or that are working towards a project that will have community type features, can make an application for the award, which is open up until 3rd November 2017. The participation criteria are outlined in the text for the tender.
Start to be Circular is part of “Progetto Diventero”, the Bracco Foundation multi-year initiative to support talented young people in their training and careers, promoting innovative ways of strengthening the bond between academia and the workplace.
