The new annual tenders become operational 2022 for the granting of the named facilitating measures Patents +, Drawings + and Trademarks +.
For these benefits the Ministry of Economic Development he assigned 46 million euros announcing the start of the application procedure in the coming months.
Patents + calls , Trademarks + and Drawings +
I bandiPatents +, Brands + eDrawings +they are public procedures aimed at the provision of financial contributions. They are intended formicro, small or medium-sized Italian companies, also of new constitution, with the aim of favoring the patentability of technological innovations and the enhancement of trademarks and designs.
Provided in the "Strategic lines of action on industrial property for the three-year period 2021-2023”Adopted by Ministerial Decree of the Mise 23 June 2021, these facilities aim to encourage technological innovation. These are incentives provided for in the lines of action also in the context of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan - PNRR. With the Decree 7 June 2022 published on the Official Gazette General Series n.156 of 06-07-2022 the MISE refinanced the incentives also for the 2022 pending the launch of new public procedures.
Overall, the resources allocated for the 2022 are equal to 46 million euro, funds thus distributed:
- Patents +, which has 30 million euro;
- Brands +, which has 2 million euro;
- Drawings +, which has 14 million euro.
Contribution applications can be submitted from the start:
From april the 27 September 2022 per Patents +
from11 October 2016 per Drawings +
From april the 25 October 2016 per Brands +
Notice of Patents + 2022: what it foresees?
The Notice of Patents + 2022 provides for the provision of an economic contribution for the economic enhancement of technologies protected by patents in terms of profitability, productivity e market development. These concessions are granted on the basis of an evaluation procedure with an over-the-counter procedure. You can apply for the new Patent call 2022 From april the 27 September 2022 at 12.00 and until the foreseen economic resources are exhausted.
Patents + 2022 : to whom it is addressed?
The Patent + incentive is due toItalian SMEs also of new constitution. Beneficiaries must meet a series of requirements, or be the owner of:
- a patent for industrial invention, or holders of an exclusive license transcribed to the UIBM of a patent for industrial invention granted in Italy. The new call will establish the time window. In both cases the patents must be in good standing with the payments of the maintenance fees, where due, at the time of submitting the application;
- a national patent application for industrial invention filed with a search report with a "non-negative" outcome;
- an application for a European patent or an international application patent filed with the relative search report with "non-negative" outcome, claiming the priority of a previous national patent application.
Call for Brands + 2022: what it foresees?
TheCall for Brands + intends to support micro businesses, small and medium-sized in the protection of trademarks abroad through concessions granted in the form of capital contributions. The notice 2022, like that of the previous year, finances theexpenses for specialist design services etrademark registrationfor subsidy applications:
- for EU - EUIPO registrations (European Union Intellectual Property Office), for the "measure A”;
- relating to the registrations of international trademarks at OMI (World Intellectual Property Organization) through the purchase of specialized services for the "measure B”.
Brands + 2022: to whom it is addressed?
They can benefit from the concessions provided for in the announcement Brands + micro-sized enterprises, small or medium-sized Italian companies, as defined in the Regulations (EU) n.651/2014, owners of the trademark covered by the application for participation. Drawings + announcement 2022: what it foresees?
The Drawings + call supports micro businesses, small and medium-sized in the enhancement of designs and models through concessions granted in the form of capital contribution. It is possible to apply starting from 12.00 of 11 October, while resources are used up.
Drawings + 2022: to whom it is addressed?
They can benefit from the concessions provided for in the announcement Drawings + micro-sized enterprises, small or medium-sized Italian companies, as defined in the Regulations (EU) n.651/2014, with operational headquarters in Italy, in good standing from an administrative point of view, fiscal and judicial. To participate the MPMI then, they must be the owners of the design or model that is the subject of the enhancement project, registered from January 1st 2022 At:
- UIBM: or the Italian Patent and Trademark Office;
- EUIPO: or the European Union Intellectual Property Office;
- OMI: or the World Intellectual Property Organization.
For the beneficiaries of Drawings + the grant that can be granted is equal to a maximum of 60.000 euro. The concessions are aimed at the purchase of external specialist services to encourage:
- the production of new products related to a registered design or model;
- marketing of a registered design or model.
- the concessions are aimed at the enhancement of a single design registration (national or regional, for example EU).
How to apply for Patent + calls, Trademarks + and Drawings + 2022
For now it has been launched on Invitalia, manager of these measures, only the telematic platform to submit applications for the trying 2022 Patents 2022, from 27 September at 12.The application for Patents + is submitted exclusively online, through theInvitalia IT platform. To request the benefits it is necessary:
- be in possession of a digital identity (SPID, CNS, CIE) to access the dedicated platform, access the reserved area to fill in directly online the application, upload the business plan they attachments which you can download in This Page;
- to complete the application submission procedure it is necessary to have a digital signature and an address of certified mail (PEC);
- at the end of the compilation of the business plan and of the’Electronic submission of the application and related annexes, an electronic protocol will be assigned.
There are no rankings, applications are examined based on the chronological order of presentation. After formal verification, there is an evaluation of merit which also includes a interview with Invitalia experts. If in doubt, you can consult the FAQ section made available by the manager.
