The funding available, to be earned on route 1 of POR Calabria 2014-2020, destined for the Startup and Spinoff selection category, amounts to 10 million Euros. Calabria intends to support the creation of innovative Startups promoted by graduates and also wants to support the production of Spinoff research promoted by research workers.
The program is therefore divided into two phases:
- STEP ONE: submission and selection of proposals for business ideas by proposers. The selected individuals will benefit from the delivery of a short training course on corporate culture, support services and coaching for the preparation of a business plan
- STEP TWO: grant of “de minimis” incentives for the business start up.
The budget amounts to EUR 10,000,000.00 divided into two awards from 5,000,000.00 €, one for 2017 and for 2018. The resources provided for each award are broken up as follows:
- 3,000,000.00€ for the financing of innovative micro start-ups promoted by graduate students and / or post graduates
- 2,000,000.00€ to fund spin-offs of the research promoted by the research workers.
