On the 10th and 11th May 2017, Prague will host the international “Exploitation of EU Project Results with a Focus on IP in the Field of Health and Biotechnology” event, organised by the European IPR Helpdesk, in collaboration with the Fit for Health 2.0 project and the Enterprise Europe Network. This is a training event on intellectual property aimed at increasing the benefits of intellectual property, with a focus on IP in the field of health and biotechnology. The strategic use and management of intellectual property (IP) – in the marketplace as well as in international research initiatives – is essential to strengthen the science and technology base, promote innovation and ensure growth in the EU. In this context, Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, further emphasises the exploitation of intellectual property strategies as a means to protect and gain commercial and economic benefits from EU-funded research. Through a practical and comprehensive approach, participants in the training event will become familiar with key concepts and strategies for transforming intellectual resources into innovations that create value and economic benefit. The course will further provide concrete examples of the use of IP as a strategic tool to transform innovative ideas into successful projects. The event is dedicated to SMEs and researchers working in health and biotechnology, who are interested in using the Horizon 2020 programme.
The event is free but registration is required by 2nd May 2017.
