Recognition from the European Commission on innovation for women
This year the EU Prize for Women Innovators is intended to raise the profile of emerging innovators. The competition is funded by the Horizon 2020 programme and it intends to give recognition to women who have succeeded in combining scientific excellence with a business mindset, creating innovative companies and bringing innovations to the marketplace.
This round aims to reward 4 winners: 3 winners of “The Innovators Prize for Women”, for which the 1st Prize will be 100k Euro, the 2nd Prize will be 50k Euro, and the 3rd Prize will be 30k Euro, and there will be one winner of a prize “for emerging innovation” who will receive a sum equal to 20k Euro.
The competition is open to women residing in the EU and in the countries associated with Horizon 2020 and who have founded or co-founded a company and have received financing (either national or European) for research and innovation.
Applications must be submitted by 15th November 2017. The winners will be announced on March 8th 2018, International Women’s Day.
