On Thursday 27th July at 14.30 the Let’s Start Webinar, introduction to Smart&Start Italy and methods of accessing support, will take place. The webinar will allow better understanding of the way incentives aimed at innovative startups from all over Italy function.
Smart&Start Italy supports the creation and growth of innovative high-tech startups to stimulate a new entrepreneurial culture linked to the digital economy. The initiative is also intended to enhance scientific and technological research results and encourage the return of ‘brains’ from abroad.
The measure was refinanced by Ministry of Economic Development with 95 million euros (Budget Law 2017).
45.5 million were made available from the Enterprise and Competitiveness Pon 2014-2020 (DM 9th August 2016 published in Official Gazette No.. 246 of 20th October 2016).
Access for applications is open and requests for funding are evaluated on a first come first served basis within 60 days. The procedure for access to the facilities is fully computerised.
From its start in September 2013, Smart&Start has financed over 700 startups with projects mainly in the areas of digital economy, life science, environment and energy, in the light of the over 200 million Euros in benefits granted.
